Maintenance for slewing ring bearing
Slewing bearings are called Machine “Joint” in machinery industry. They are the relative rotation motion between two objects, and can be used as an important driving element necessary for the mechanical force of axial force, radial force and overturning moment.
Heat treatment of slewing bearing raceway and gear:
The raceway of the slewing bearing is treated by surface induction hardening, and the quenching hardness is ensured from HRC55 to 62, and sufficient depth of hardened layer can be reached.
Because of the transfer force, one of the rings is usually made of teeth. The heat treatment state of gears is generally normalized or quenched and tempered. The tooth surface can also be quenched according to the user's requirements. The quenching hardness is between HRC 50 to 60, and sufficient depth can be ensured. According to the different application conditions, gear quenching can be divided into full tooth quenching and single tooth induction hardening. Single tooth induction hardening can be divided into tooth surface root hardening and tooth surface hardening.
Adaptive temperature and working environment of slewing bearings:
The slewing bearing can work normally from -20°C to +70°C. If the user needs to adapt to the lower or higher temperature slewing bearing, Tenze slewing ring bearing can reach from -40°C to 200°C with special design. Slewing bearings are used in harsh environments, such as marine climate, dust or abrasive particles, sand dust, cement, coal dust, etc.. Special sealing rings, protective devices and suitable oil passages must be selected. Therefore, in order to make your support to normal function, the proper daily maintenance and maintenance work is necessary.
